The second time I tried to use the Generac 5993 it just shuts itself off while I am up on the ladder and while I use it, so of course I have to constantly climb up and down to try and keep it working. I read all the instructions, directions, etc.
I also made the HUGE mistake of not knowing what if any return policy Pressure Washers Direct had before I bought from them. The policy is once you have used it NO RETURNS!!!

I am amazed that most companies do not know anything about their product or service.
The lessen I learned from buying my Generac on line and also from buying a BMW is that you should only buy local and from a dealer or store you trust!!!!!!!!! The BMW dealers are too far away and too few also.
If you buy non local: When you have problems or questions you have screwed yourself, because the Co. will not help at all or you spend far too much time and money traveling back and forth again and again.

The Generac does not clean the siding on my 2 story home. I am about 10-15 feet away on a ladder so maybe I need to get closer somehow or buy a extension of some sort. I have used different soaps and detergents both pressure washer specific and others to no avail.

Generac and Pressure Washers Direct said it was made here in the U.S. but I plainly see on the pump that it is made in China!
I did research of how to use a pressure washer and what to use as a cleaner before I bought this and it seems to be of no help in this case.
I also have a BMW motorcycle the F800GS and BMW treats owners like dirt. They have no interest in helping or fixing the mistakelemon you bought from them. I also asked questions about buying BMW accessories and you would think I was trying to rob them.
Apple seems to be one of the few Co. that makes a effort to keep you the customer happy.

bought a new 1979, 300sqft home. siding is stucco. The stucco is very dirty, so i need to clean it and therefore want to buy a pressure washer. this pressure washer wouldnt be for just this, but thats the purpose of buying it. i would like to have it for yrs to do everything form clean the house to washing the cars. want a simple one – nothing with 500 nozzel tips, ect :)
i was htinking electric for less maintence, but open to gas. looking under 0. needs a tank to hold soap ect.

also i was told that muratic acid(sp?) to clean the stucco – thoughts? i was thinking acid and water in a bucket, scub small areas then pressure it off?

I’m looking for a pressure washer that I can use for cement driveways, decks, etc. I also am looking to get a flat surface cleaner. I have tried looking on the Costco since I heard they sold some website but I couldn’t find them. I also don’t want a junk piece of plastic. Thanks for the help.

Looking to purchase a gas pressure washer. Don’t want to spend more than I have to. Traditional residential cleaning, siding kid toys, patio furniture, etc. I was looking at a 2600 but recently heard I need a 3000??? Any thoughts? Any specific models you like?? Thanks!!
it will be used frequently and those crummy 1500′s don’t do anything for siding. i know i need gas i’m just not sure if the 2600 is enough or if i should go for the 3000

I am interested in purchasing a pressure washer that is durable, reliable, and can clean wood surfaces without damaging them. Gas or electric which would be able to perform the job with minimal effort

i need to buy a pressure washer to start a small after-school business to earn some extra cash. i will need a gas pressure washer with enough power to clean driveways, walkways, fences, stone, brick, oil stains from garages, ext. what is the minimum PSI i need to be able to do these jobs effectively?

I’ve looked at a few websites and see that I can get gas powered washers for upwards of 0 and also get small electric ones for as low as . I understand that the big difference seems to be the pressure that each puts out (PSI) but that’s all I understand.

Can I get a compressor so I can say attach a paint sprayer, a tire inflator and then attach a head so I can pressure wash? Or do I have to get a compressor for paint and air and then a pressure washer as well? I’m mostly interested in the washing part but would be nice to have an all in one solution if that is even available?

Here is what I want to do…wash the cars, RV, kids bikes, driveway, vinyl siding on the house and basic yardwork type of chores.

Please help me figure out what to buy?

I have decided I would like electric to keep it low maintainence. My husband borrowed a friends pressure washer & ended up tearing up our lawn swing cushions. I just want to make sure that doesn’t happen again. I just want to do basic cleaning a couple times a year on the house siding, driveway, cleaning the fence, cleaning the finished deck & maybe occasionally cleaning the car without damaging anything. What should I get? Accessories & cleaners needed? Please be specific.

What brand and type and power level of pressure washer should I buy to clean OIL Stains off the driveway?

Would I need electric or gas powered? I got some tough stains on my driveway street area’s that I want to clean up. My car USED to leak oil and I hate the oil stains onb the ground…They are kind of OLD stains and I tried all types of chemicals already to clean them but they didn’t completely work. I want to try a pressure washer / cleaner now.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

I want to offer outside house cleaning, driveway cleaning, deck cleaning, and maybe boats. Also how much should i charge people for the services?
