Yes, go for the highest pressure machine you can afford. You can do more things with a higher pressure unit, than with a lower pressure unit.

Hope this helps.

Definitely the 3100 psi Honda....There will be times where you'll be glad you had those extra psi's...Also, it would be a very good idea to purchase the extension wand for your safety. Climbing up & down a wet ladder is far from safe. A descent extension wand would usually run you about $100.00 +...However, well worth the investment...Best of luck..

I first made the mistake of buying an electric power washer from Sears. It lasted one season and I thought I was screwed. I returned it and they gave me a brand new one which also lasted one season. Finally I returned it and used the cost towards a sears gas powered power washer that has been very reliable and does a great job. Not sure where it was made but I would warn people not to buy an electric and if they want great service,,,, Go to Sears!!
Good luck

I would go with the most powerful model you can buy at lowes or home depot or some place like that. Gas is usually more powerful than electric. You may not need full power for every job, but you can always change out the tip or just hold it further away if you want less power.

I would go with an electric, the more pressure the better, the gas ones are good also, but over time need attention, i would suggest simple green for the stucco, its great at removing deep down grime and mold, just give some time on surface to work in ,then blast it off, plus is biodegradble and wont burn your grass or shrubs

A gasoline model would be best I have had more trouble with electric ones than with gasoline ones.

The kick-out valve or switch seems to go on the electrics, and then the motor stalls and burns up. Had three electric ones and all three bought the farm, bought a Troy Bilt gas model and have not had a problem I use it once a week, Bought it 3 years ago.

Wal-Mart has some gas models in your price range, with soap/chemical reservoir, make sure though the chemicals you use will not hurt the pump seals it will void the warranty gas or electric.

Here is my suggestion --- take it for what it's worth, which is speculation. Unless someone has purchased such a washer and knows....everyone can only 'speculate'.

So....if this is your first washer, and you're using it for business purposes, buy one locally. Pay the money and get one with a warranty from a company that looks like they will be in business at least for one year (yeah I know). That way if anything happens, you can take it there and let them deal with it and get it back quickly. Otherwise you run the risk of having something happen, then taking it somewhere and no one being familiar with it and either you're waiting forever for parts, or paying thru the nose for labor...or both and being without it for who knows how long.

After you buy your first one and you're good......then go buy one off ebay, then if anything happens, you're covered. If it turns out to be a good deal, then buy another one, but for the first one...for business....buy local.
